Providing access to your Amazon Web Services account
We're excited to work together! To get started, we’ll need to setup secure access to your AWS account.
We've put together some easy-to-follow instructions below.
Providing Webbernet Access to your AWS Account
Step 1: Sign in to the AWS Management Console
Go to the AWS Management Console and sign in with your account credentials.
Step 2: Navigate to IAM
In the AWS Management Console, search for ‘IAM’ in the search bar and select ‘IAM’ to open the IAM dashboard.
Step 3: Create a New Role
In the IAM dashboard, choose ‘Roles' from the navigation pane on the left.
Click on ‘Create role’'.
Step 4: Select Type of Trusted Entity
Choose ‘AWS account’
Choose ‘Another AWS account’
The account ID to enter is 241853040085
Check 'Require MFA' for security purposes
Click Next
Step 5: Attach Permissions Policies
Filter policies by typing “ReadOnlyAccess” in the search box and filter by the type ‘AWS Managed - job function’
Select the checkbox next to the ‘ReadOnlyAccess’ policy. This grants read-only access to your AWS resources.
Click ‘Next’
Step 6: Review and Create the Role
Give the role a name so you can identify it in your account. It can’t have spaces. e.g. "Webbernet-Access"
Review the information, and if everything is correct, click ‘Create role’.
Step 7: Provide the Role ARN
After creating the role, you will be redirected to the role's summary page.
Here you need find the role again. Search for the name you created in the last step and open the role
Look for the Role ARN which will look something like this: arn:aws:iam::123456789:role/Webbernet-Access. Please copy this and send to us via email. We'll need this to access your account.
Revoking our access to your AWS Account
Simply find the role you created and delete it! We’ll no longer have access.
